You don't even get the long F6 cable duct extensions in the F2A kit either, or there haven't been any with any of them that I've bought anyway.

But they're easy to make up with some sprue and a file, I did just that on my Swedish one.

The Wooksta!

All the F6 specific parts are on an extra sprue in the F6 kit. That's why I only buy the F6, because you have a wider variety of choices

Except for the missiles, which quite frankly are crap. Even the old Airfix F1a has better Firestreaks.

Quote from: Dizzyfugu on September 28, 2022, 08:00:45 AMIIRC, the F.2A is just that - with no extra parts like optional Red Tops. That was the reason why I did not use mine for the Austrian Lightning in the LHC GB.  :-\  No overwing tanks, either.

The F2As never carried Red Top as it was never fitted wth the relevant electronics. IIRC they went in the space occupied by the cannons on the earlier marks, hence the F3 not carrying them.

Gondor

Got notification from Hannants yesterday that the new Airfix Meteor is in stock.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

And now pantograph it down to 1/72 scale.................

That would be very nice indeed.

On another note, got an email from Hannants to say that the Airfix DH Beaver was in stock

A 1/72nd kit will require a different kit design and CAD model. Scaling up and down requires
a lot of work.

Rick Lowe

Well ok, but if it's already scanned into their system, they have a good starting point.

But considerably less than starting from scratch!

Pantograph is so yesterday's technology. These days they press a key (or keys) on the computer.

That's so old fashioned Nigel - surely you just speak to it ?  ;D  Apparently they are developing a system which will anticipate your whishes' so that even that will become redundant  ;)

Does anyone remember Zagger and Evans "In the Year 2525" ?  :-\

Sadly, yes - I am that old.  :-\  sigh.

Then they should make it in the right scale to start with.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
