After my engineer survived his COVID infection - which is no fun for a bear - she added another week of vacation and is now back to continue the work on the Old Zausel.

All passengers are now on board


First decals have been added


As I have to make some own decals with the name on it, I wonder which font I should use for it

That's looking REALLY good with all the little peeps aboard.

My more formal personal aesthetic proposes either of the lower two on the right or the informal aesthetic recommends the top left, for the ship's name font.

The "Old Zausel" now has its name "Alter Zausel" as it is said in German:



And the Old Zausel himself is in command!



A few more little things to be completed then it is done.



Next week my engineer and I will go on a short river cruise. This was was a gift to the Old Zausel, but, well, things did not work out as planned. So the family will do this as a memorial journey.

  

On the river cruise that was our Old Zausel memorial journey, we had a stop in Rotterdam.
There, I saw this ship in the harbor:



Looks a lot like the "Old Zausel", so I had to to do some research. The ship, the "De Majesteit" is more a less a successor of the "Goethe", which actually is the base model for the "Old Zausel". The "De Majesteit" was build about 10 years later and originally was used by the same shipping company. Good to see it there!
