I can't find an F2A gift set ANYwhere and I've been looking for 2 months. And Big H's new postage charges smack a little of 'Corporate Greed' to me just now.

Right I shall be making a move early tomorrow morning, and yes I know it's Thursday, but I like to get up there early and pop into Shrewsbury or similar on the Friday. Anyway I'll see those who are there, there hopefully. Safe journey all

As a result of some stuff I have to do here on Monday, and my 'official lunch' date on the Sunday it's looking much more likely that I'll only be at SMW on the Saturday this year.

Evening all.

I just thought that I'd post a thank you to all the Whiffers that I met today in person at Telford, some for the first time.  It was an emotional day for me, but it was made so much more bearable and enjoyable by being with you all.  My Little Grey Cells are working overtime as a direct result, and God help my overnight subconscious! 

Kit & Martin - The drive home wasn't wasted : the launching of the folding-wings carrier-bourne Valiant variant is solved!  4 Sprites should sort it, which just happens to be the number I have in stock.  I'm also thinking that this would be the later equivalent of launching B-25s from US carriers to attack Tokyo in the Doolittle raids, under similar Cold War circumstances...

I hope tomorrow goes equally well, and may your stashes grow larger!  TTFN.

As Wallace and Grommit would say, it was a Grand Day Out.  Great to meet up with the SIG gang and others.  A very good show; I'd say there were fewer children accompanying their (mostly) dads, and the level of wifely supervision seemed to have declined compared to previous years.  That means either that wifekind has generally given up on their other halves or their surveillance techniques have become much more sophisticated and devious!

And some more from what was this year a rather jet-heavy (speficially F.155T-heavy) SIG display.

Airfix were out in force displaying their new 1/24 Spitfire IXc and 1/48 Anson I.  Both delightful but tbh I'd go for the Anson were I to stray from 1/72.  Seems as though lots of folk (including me!) were begging for the Anson to be scaled down to 1/72, so many in fact that it may creep up the release projects list - who knows, we may see one in a couple of years.

No new Airfix releases announced, that'll happen at next January's Nuremburg Toy Fair.  Release programme is under tight wraps but one of the Airfix Brothers said there will be a number of proper surprises.

All i will say is that chris enjoyed his day to the max. He might not remember much of it thou.

Excellent pictures.  I just got home to the USA from a week in England on Monday.  One of these days I'll get a trip over to coincide with SMW!
