Italeri. Which is why I went with their kit. Well, that and the fact the Academy kit's fuselage fits inside the Italeri one.

These were bought to try a conversion of the Airfix 1/48 P-51D into a "GriffStang" but i'm not sure if the cowling will be as easy to adapt as i'm hoping it to be. If i find that they're not suited for my purpose, i'll just find another kit to put them on.

Another unexpected ev!lbay win: a hunchbacked Zvezda 1:72 Su-39 for just EUR 8,-. Again no plan yet and Stash™ fodder, but noone else placed a bit.

I have and it was like it was for The Wooksta hard to build. Did mine in a USN Dark Blue finish and cobbled together some F4U Corsair markings for it.

Well, seems like one of those kits that will benefit from careful dry fitting and adjustment of the parts.
I always do it anyway to avoid any nasty surprises but thanks for the words, i will pay extra attention to these issues.

I have just remembered that the joint between the wing and the fuselage required MUCH fettling down and shims inserted into the joint to get it to fit.

Well the SU 76 is a russian conversion of a Panzer 3 so why not on a 38T ..yup I like it

What if the Soviet Union annexed Czechoslovakia in '38 rather than Nazi Germany?

Also, today while buying lego for a sick friend I picked up a second Airfix Airbourne Jeep.  I am building one for the Logistics GB and am impressed with it and decided a second one was needed.  The kit contains a 75mm airbourne howitzer which, along with the one I already have, is earmarked for the long planned Sky Pirates airship.

Assemble wing, assemble fuselage, put the fuselage on the wing and the run a scalpel down the wing using the fuselage as a guide, then cut out the top of the wing marked.

Well we know the Germans took over the tank production for their own needs in Czechoslovakia and when russia entered the war ..well we ended up with the SU76 on the  3 ..why not the same at the same time..so they ran both captured machines ..as we say in war ..some is good..more is better.

I know the little 75mm gun your talking about..perfect choose for a airship...light and quite useful bang for your buck.
