I'm more interested in the idea of a J79 Mirage IV as proposed in some of the earlier posts.
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

I'd forgotten this thread. What a cracking looking aeroplane the Mirage IV is, every schoolboy's idea of what a Mach 2 bomber should look like, especially from above the rear quarters.

Yup must admit the Mirage IV and the B-58 were the types of aircraft I doodled in the corner of my maths excercise book  ;D

We discussed about the Mirage IV (01 compared to A) in the Mirage III topic at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=10054.345

I presented a Mirage IV with a two-seat bubble canopy at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=10054.360
but without showing the seats so one is allowed to imagine a single seat under it. ;)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

You may think that canopy is not in scale..., but it is in scale!

Will die without understanding this world.

That's really neat

A lesser known variant of the Mirage IV A, the Mirage IV C (unbuilt fighter version of the IV A).

You can find some info and data here (french website) :

QuoteThe Mirage IV-B bomber was twice as large as the Mirage IV-A.

That would have been even larger than a Vulcan!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit
