Well, here in Milano, Italy, for 30 years (from 1895 to1925) we had special trams used for funerals, another kind of freight...

From what I had read in a railway magazine, after the end of the special use, the trams were refurbished and sold to Oslo, Norway...

In London there were a couple of railway lines built to run from the city to some of the large cemeteries constructed in the Victorian era. andl I've seen photos of old railway carriages specifically built for use as hearses on them, but not trams before   

In Chicago several old cemeterys had their own siding. No trams however.

In Finland, we actually have a pub built into a working tram:

The idea is that everyone pedals. There is a bartender with a tap in the middle. Only the driver is not allowed to drink the beer of course.
