One I've bee working on for a few weeks. Had a few paint issues that have made it a bit of a challenge and it will end up being a "high shelf, 6-foot" model, but it's coming together OK.

The need for long range, fast aircraft for the Island campaigns during Operation Downfall led the USMC to adopt the highly successful DH Mosquito.  With the war in Europe over many airframes became surplus, even with the RAF deploying hundreds more aircraft to the far east.

As this photo shows, operating in a fast moving campaign from hastily prepared airstrips did not lend itself to cosmetic maintenance so most Downfall Mossies soon found large areas of bare metal and silver dope showing through.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Seconded
I've got the 48th Tamiya Mossie and I'm still thinking of ideas for it.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Sorry chaps.  American Airlines had other plans for me.  Off all weekend though so hoping to make some progress.  Also for some bizarre reason my fairly massive decal stash did not have appropriate USMC "Marine" markings so waiting for some Corsair decals to arrive, hopefully tomorrow.

Done that a few times. Convinced myself that I "must" have the particular markings I want in the numerous boxes of transfers, only to find  :banghead:

Same... even though I keep collecting bits of used sheets, there never seems to be the exact ones I need - or not enough of them, or the wrong colour, etc - you know! :banghead:

And yeah, those are the type of popcorn thingies I meant, but I've never got the hang of inserting gifs.
