It's the Libyan Clipper because that was a RW trimotor captured from axis forces and used by the RAAF.  The fact that IRL it was a captured German trimotor and this is an Italian one should hopefully sow seeds of doubt within the minds of any observing JMNs.
Given the Libyan Clipper received a complete repaint from RAAF erks, If it had nose art it would not be an Italian sheila.

I started today...

...by taping up the ends of the end opening box and cutting the lid to make it a top opening box.

Out of box the SM-82 is a troop carrier (albeit one with a bomb bay) with two decks of seating and a person sized door on each side towards the rear of the fuselage.  I have had an Airfix Airbourne Jeep kit in the stash for a while which would make for a good load for this.  But it will need a bigger loading door and internal rearrangement.

A very mid 30's design concept, the bomber/transport. Quite a few air forces toyed with the idea.

The cargo floor decking was reconfigurable panels and the main cargo hatch was in the belly,
evidently large loads could be taken in through the bombay, photos exist of MC.200 and CR.42
fuselages inside the SM.82.

The aircraft was equipped with a chainfall winch sliding on a beam running down the length of
cabin.

Like the same firms C-119 there is a pretty good level of interior detail on this kit.  Seats are three parts each, there are five separate transfers making up the instrument panel, and there is even a fire extinguisher moulded into the rear cockpit bulkhead.
It will obviously never be seen again once I close the fuselage halves up.

Rather a bright yellow-green there, Fred.

Vallejo Golden Olive.  It's not actually that vibrant but my phone camera livened it up.

Cargo/Bomb bay roof (floor of upper deck) is twisted and there are huge gaps and recesses where the wing roots are.  Now I know this doesn't matter if I never show anyone or glue the doors closed but, well it's that obsession thing again.  So I am scratching up a liner to hide all the gaps.
