Kitbashing based on the political cartoon by Ilkka Toivonen published in "Savon Sanomat" magazine on 2020. The cartoon is commenting the HX-program (that resulted to replace F-18 with F-35) and the idea of saving money with prolonging the service life of Legacy Hornets. Original cartoon is also published here. In the cartoon the F-18 is updated with recycled parts from older MiG-21bis and Fouga Magister.



Kits used are Special Hobby Fouga Magister 1/72 (SH72373), Zvezda MiG-21bis No. 7259 and Italeri F/A18 C/D "Wild Weasel" No. 71016.

It looks a little strange. But it is supposed to.

Very nicely done. The design reminds me of a Japan anime ship as well.

Just wish you could include some Gnat and Hawk pieces (though they weren't in the cartoon)
