I'm starting to wonder if the Russians could develop a new Variant of the Mig-29 Fulcrum with Stealth capabilities, and forward Sept wings similar to the SU-47 Berkut Experimental Fighter. Would it be interesting?

Normal yes , but because the war in Ukraine in don't like to see Russian jets at this time , the former ( for me ) nice red star and the style from the Cold War which I liked my whole live makes me sick and angry

There was serious MiG-23 FSW concept that reached wind tunnel tests. But I doubt that FSW will be put into practice anywhere when the aerodynamical benefits can be achived with software and far less complex wing structures these days. Might be a nice-looking whif model, though, but I am not certain if it is the right time for such things.

I'm with the other replies.

Would it be interesting? Yes.

Is it appropriate? No.

Maybe if a model were to be built you could make it Ukrainian and say it was a upgrade to one of their 29's to possibly give it a edge over Russian Su-35's or something...

Gentlemen with my Moderators hat on could I please ask you to stay clear of politics, particularly regarding the current situation in Eastern Europe. Whilst I know and understand where many members sympathies will lie if I/we soften our stance on the "No Politics Rule" it could be seen as the thin edge of the web and lead to a "well you allowed that, so why not this" type of discussion.

Now the strict enforcement of the No Politics Rule (which apart from the "mind your language" rule is one of the few rules we have) has been one of the main reasons for the success of the Forum so I would like to keep it that way. I'm leaving the topic as it is for the moment but will be keeping an eye on it (I do read every post on site) and will take any action I feel is necessary.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

I am very sorry if my post was near beyond the rules , that was not my opinion to limit someone else .

Thank you for your engagement as moderator, this forum is very good and a lot of fine modelwork.

Not a problem. Your a newcomer and we don't really stress the rules when people join.  It's just that I have to think in terms of where a post might lead to in terms of responses and therefore I'm sometimes quick to act, rather than wait and see where a reply leads.

Please carry on enjoying and contributing to the forum.
