Several items arrived from a variety of sources.

1/72 Sword F3D-2 Skynight plus a couple of masking sets.

I don't know what the world is coming to, but that's 2 jets in 2 days   The Skynight is a re-issue but they've included an extra sprue (in a harder plastic) which has some more finely detailed parts on it, mostly for the cockpit but a couple of other areas. It also has a masking set which I didn't notice when I ordered the Peewit one   I plan on using this for the 50's GB, either FAA or Aeronvale.

Lovely kit.  One on my 'must get around to it' list.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

From BNA I got some canopy masks.  All 1/72 bar the ekranoplan.
Academy B-17 F/G (I have the E kit, but surely most will fit).
Hasegawa Osprey.
Italeri Black Hawk (topical given this weeks ADF news).
Takom Lun.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Received some Hataka paint today

Israeli Air Force Paint Set (Early Period) as I have the eduard S-199 kit and I don't want to mix the colour.

Also got the Late Luftwaffe Paint Set only to find I already had it  :banghead:  Oh well, either spares or for someone else that really needs the colours.

I see nothing wrong with that, and that Skynight is a very good choice!

So, last night i was looking at the stuff i have on my "next on the bench" list and decided i needed more 1/48 Portuguese Air Force modern markings so, from Superhobby in Poland i ordered:
1X - Model Maker 1/48 "F-16 in PoAF service"
2X - Master 1/48 A-1 Skyraider 20mm AN/M2 cannon barrels
1X - Master 1/48 Hawker Tempest 20mm Hispano Mk.V cannon barrels

And today, i went to my new LHS on a rescue mission and the victim was another Academy 1/48 F-15E i'd spotted there that had been gathering dust in the shop's shelf for way too long...

That makes it the 2nd F-15E and with the F-15C MSIP II kits, that's the last 1/48 F-15 kit i'll ever have to buy. I say "have to" because this kit was selling for 45€ and, considering all the goodies in the box like the quantity of modern weapons, 2 great pilot figures with choice of normal or JHMCS helmets, 1 pair of P&W and another of the GE engine nozzles... these parts may not be as good as resin/PE aftermarket products but they're good enough for me and if i was to buy each of those parts separately, i'd surely spend more than the 45€ i paid for the whole kit.

Also, when i got home and checked the email, AK's online shop sent me an add which somehow ended up with an MPM 1/72  FW190 V18 kit on order...

Chris, if you're feeling ambitious with the F3D, the F3D-3.

That looks so much better with swept surfaces.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Does, doesn't it. Beyond me though. Must admit I'd had some thoughts about it becoming a night attack/interdiction type for the FAA rather than a nightfighter.

Do you have a spare Sabre you could hack about?
