Does, doesn't it. Beyond me though. Must admit I'd had some thoughts about it becoming a night attack/interdiction type for the FAA rather than a nightfighter.

Do you have a spare Sabre you could hack about?

I'm afraid not, but I'll stick with the kit as is and leave the hacking to those more adventurous that me.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

My acquisitions from Bolton .(good show, but the venue was freezing cold and ran out of hot food) comprised

Airfix Canberra PR9
Airfix Swift
Hobbyboss Sea Hawk mk 101 with the tall tail
Aeroclub Gannet AEW3
Aeroclub Hunter T7 nose (I hope it'll fit the Airfix kit...)
Rareplane DH Dove/Devon
Model Art Buccaneer S1 decals, although I really just want the roundels for a Red Beard equipped RAF S2

And an Academy Me 163 for Willie

I envy you all these model shows. I think we have three over here, or possibly four, and the closest one is two hours away..🙄

Give it longer span wings like the proposed F6D Missileer.
F3D span, 50'; F6D span, 70'.

..or extrapolate on the EW role it actually took. What if the Grumman EA-6A never happened?  ;)

Dizzyfugu

Give it swept wings - there was a real propodal for this upgrade, and I did it with parts from a B-66/A-3.

They could be even longer.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

You want long Herr Kit matey I'll give ya long and before you say anything I am not going to make these longer  ;D
If it still there tonight I'm buying the Kinetic Global Hawk 1/48 scale..the wing span should be even long enough for you good sir at 829mm or smeg over 32 inches
I have ideas
And nope it's not making them longer  ;D

To the stash tho just added another Trumpeter 35th scale M1A1 Abrams MBT ..cheap as chips so why not.

Yes, that Global Hawk is a MONSTER in 1/72 scale! And in 1/48 scale even more so.......

In The Loft I have the Revell 1/32 scale Due Discus sailplane which is getting there at 620 mm span.

Today arrived the following:

- One Frog issue Canberra B(I).8/12, actually bought either to scavenge transparencies from or to build with my son who wants a bomber. Good boy.

- Liquid decal film. And setter. Solvent tested. But sod that - the liquid film allow me to reasonably safely put decals not only on the deuces, but on another Danish project. Finally!

Close but no cigar buddy  ;D
When ya look at the stats for the real thing..oh muma is that a big plane..wing span of 35 metres..over 116ft and it's over 13 metres long..nearly 44ft ..this is a big plane ..for having no one in it and it can stay in flight for 36hrs..wicked cool and what I have in mind is simple .
I know that Revell kit..it's simple but ive seen some amazing paint jobs on them...well worth for that alone .

From the shiver-fest that was the otherwise great Bolton show I brought home:

Hasegawa Sea Harrier FRS.1
I was heavily influenced by the Harrier SIG excellent Falklands at 40 display. And I've always like the early Sea Harrier with the pointed nose.

AZ Models Spitfire Mk.IX
This is the Silver Spitfire boxing from the round the world record setting flight by a Spitfire in 2019 - https://www.silverspitfire.com/

I've been told this is a very nice kit to build and it fits nicely with my clubs 'Shiny Metal Guru' competition in March.
