Dreams do come true, so I will be writing out my list of things that I want to achieve in 2023.

It's definitely been a rollercoaster, but it is lovely to have been allowed to take part in this latest ride, Stephen. May you live long and happily, and may this home be blessed with unending products of your so inspiring fantasy. Take care, and carry on! We'll be walking by your side.

I feel blessed,  I think something must have happened whilst I was in an induced coma. My outlook on life has totally changed and my whiffs are much better. I have the time to get them finished although my mind does wander in different directions so the builds that got trashed will get a second chance, and those in the 'I've got to build one of those or that's a good idea thanks......' will be built.

I've had a bit of a tidy-up in my hobby room which has revealed a few interesting items; the 1/24 Fujimi Antique Garage series no.12, I'm not too sure if I have all the parts, the Fujimi 1/24 Garage and Tools. This looks sealed Then there's a 1/144 Airfix hovercraft.

The council were supposed to send someone to repair my radiators but this didn't happen. So I have spent most of the day adding a in-flight refuelling probe to the 1/72 Martin Marina MR.7. The 1/72 BAe-158  Sky Fox twin turbofans engines fell off, so they will be replaced at a later date. The 1/72 HP Victor AEW is having it's landing gear built and the Convair EB-61 has also had one of its landing gear repaired. The 1/72 Shorts Merlin AEW.1 has had the rear tail wheel replaced which leaves the 1/72 BAC Lightning Thunderbolt also having its landing gear assembled. The nose wheel has been moved forward unlike the Sword EE Lightning T.Mk.5 which is the donor kit with resin BAC TSR.2 wings and vertical tail fin, solid nose and X-32 air intake.
I'm going to need a few more shelving units to display my creations.

I'm feeling extremely tired today,  I spent an hour and a half at the gym yesterday. Putting the settings on harder levels which works out well on my upper arms and legs. The arm extension has really improved the back of my arms and I can do two sets on the chest press where as before I was struggling.
Whiffing wise I'm waiting for some supplies to arrive .
I have discovered Bed Yoga for beginners, so I will be doing some of the stretching exercises, probably starting tomorrow.
I'm wondering why the Lincoln Futra wasn't put into production,  they could have changed the windscreen for something more conventional, like what I have done with the 1/24 Lincoln Barris.

The day didn't go to well as I had an upset stomach, but I found a 1/72 scale HobbyBoss Su-47 (S-37) Berkut. I have an idea for a two seater for the next model. I'm surprised with the parts fitting so well. The air intakes, nose cone and landing gear need to go on next. There's no hard points for weapons and I will probably change the paint scheme.

Update  Thursday 26th .
The Su-47 is no longer a single seater, I have used the seat tub from the
Mig-29 UB, I'm not too sure if the canopy comes from the same kit but it seems to fit. I've also added an in-flight refuelling probe from a Tornado GR.1 on the left side.

The landing gear has been added the air intakes. Which weren't the best fit but I have sanded them down. Going to let the glued parts dry overnight.

Keep taking care of yourself my friend. Don't overdo the physical therapy too much. Just stay on a steady course. Sounds like things are on an upward trajectory for you, carry on!

I agree with Kerick. gentle, steady progress is usually the best way forward.  Remember it was the tortoise, and not the hare that won the race.  Most jobs are all the better for a good sit down with a cup of tea/coffee and a degree of thought............a sort of think thrice, measure twice, cut once philosophy.

Thanks Guys,  my body is the tortoise but my brain is the hare. Frustration in not being able to do the simple things in life, takes longer when everything is broken down into modules. Taking a nap in the afternoon usually ends in waking up at 3am in the morning and not being able to get back to sleep.
Reading other people's past whifts that they started but never finished, there's a few of my own that will be rebuilt.
Yes I had an traumatic ordeal and no I don't know of any other 54 year old person who has recovered from four pulmonary embolisms, so I can't ask them how long it took them to fully recover, yes I have made improvements since June 2021 and every day I will get better. Positive thoughts is the key.

More than you would think will actually suffer from one or the other  illness or syndrome,  making ordinary life rarther much more difficult to match than for average Joe. Todays I'm a bit in the pit, but then there's always some lighting me up. Not much needed really. The atmosphere here is by far the most caring and friendly I've seen online. And that's important to me. So I try to contribute in the small things I can. When I can.

Not much no though. Battling insomnia and an important day tomorrow. Just bite it!

This caring attitude is what the psychologists call "enlightened self interest"   Or if you prefer to quote Charles Kingsley's book "The Water Babies"   ..........do as you would be done by.

I had a less than optimal time 5 years ago with cancer  (last contact with the oncologist three days ago..." We've decided, on balance, that you are DEFINITELY still alive)   and the support  I received from the community here was remarkable, for which my whole family are very grateful!.     In my case I'm simply trying to pay back what was given to me then.
