Soviet 1941 Schneider Trophy winner

After the 1931 was won by Macchi MC-72 which ended the UK winning streak and preventing the trophy going to the UK permanently, the winners of the following competitions were:
1933 - Curtiss R4C
1935 - Supermarine S-7
1937 - Macchi MC-86
1939 - No race due to international tensions
1941 - Beriev B-10M (First ever USSR entry in Schneider Trophy)

The Beriev B-10M was an aircraft planned by the Soviet Union's Beriev Design Bureau from 1935 to 1941; it was designed with the goal of surpassing the speed record at the time. The propulsion contra-rotating propeller is driven by two engines, on an all-metal fuselage. The radiator is placed inside the fuselage to reduce the front projection area.

I LOVE the look of that, and it's so very Beriev-like too.

I can just see that sliding down the ramp at Taganrog.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Pretty! I am just not sold on the rather low propeller position...  :o

Perhaps it cranks up at the rear like the Do-26?  ;)

l'm glad that 1939's international tensions relented a bit by 1941, because that's a looker
