What-if Dassault engineers, angry for having been copied illegally, decided to copy back the Kfir C2? (its good canard foreplanes, while without US engine):

A long time ago, there was a fighter sale in Western Europe that the US Starfighter won while the Mirage III/5 lost, then Dassault engineers took inspiration from the winner:

Updated & upgraded Kfir with leading edge extensions & larger canards + an f-16 bubble canopy with armor

Today I have read on the Mirage IV page of French Wikipedia that the Mirage IV wind-screen had a V-shape, unusual, because no use of Head-Up Display. I had never noticed this, true! I immediately adapted it on a Mirage 5: <_<

Oh yes, and very good the IV windscreen looks too.

Actually the whole aeroplane does, the BEST looking Mirage ever to my mind.  ;D

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Reminds me of a Heller 1:72 kit that I want to build/convert some day...

According to me, the Mirage IV 001 was very beautiful, but the mass produced Mirage IVs are not beautiful at all.
I will try to find a profile comparison to explain my point of view, or even improve further the beauty (whifly), I hope...

I did one some years ago, with a scratched  ASMP missile underneath.

3 months later Heller produced the Mirage 2000N  with the same missile in the kit.......  :banghead:

I've got another IV in The Loft too, I reckon it looks like every schoolkid's idea of a supersonic bomber.  ;D

Mine will receive a totally different front end, with a large radar nose, and become a heavy interceptor - maybe in USAF colors as one of the Century series fighters.  ;D

That and the B-58  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This is currently the wallpaper on my laptop.  Beautiful aircraft.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

No idea.  It's just a beautiful picture I found on the interweb.  I think that says Mirage IV 01 on the nose though.

Yes the code 01 is for the beautiful prototype. <_<
The ugly later ones were A to P if I remember correctly. :-\
