Hi, H!

For some reason it won't let me proceed with the "Answer" button. So, if you don't mind:

What I'd like to see from Airfix are;

1/48

DH Sea Venom (2 seater) (RN/RAN/RCN markings?)

1/35

Stalwart
Australian Infantry WW2 / Vietnam / Modern

Thanks in advance, mate!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Did the same just a bit ago, asked for Spiteful, Seafang, CA-15 Kangaroo and XP-40Q in both 1/72 and 1/48... I know, these are unlikely to even be considered but i've got nothing to lose, right?
In reality, i'd prefer the CA-15 and XP-40Q first just because i already have Spiteful and Seafang kits in the stash but i wouldn't mind also having a few more kits of those. ;D

The Pegasus XP-40Q is not a bad kit. Bit basic but mine went together well   Not sure how easy it is to lay your hands on one nowadays though.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I managed to buy one not long ago but it's a hard one to find indeed... that's why i would like to see a new kit becoming available. ;)

Done (thanks for the PM), although I suspect it's not what they mean by "aircraft".

Re Twitter permabans, a lot of people who had been banned have been reinstated since Musk took over: he's said that he's against permabans for almost everyone except the most extreme and persistent re-offenders. You might be able to get reinstated if you ask: PM me with details if you want.

Unboxing of the Club Meteor FR.9. Very interesting:

I don't understand what's going on with the rockets. Frame E, which has the FR.9 nose pieces, has what looks like 16 x 'railless' RP.3s with 2 x tail fins each on it, together with 16 x half tail fin units. and there are also 8 x '2nd tier' RP.3s with two tail fins each but with no wing attachments at all.

If the rockets are half-body mouldings (you can't see 'cos they don't turn the frame over), then why do they need the separate tail units?

If the rockets aren't half-body, then why do you need 16 'top tier' ones? There are only 8 hardpoints, so at most you only need 8 top-tier ones.

It looks a little confusing but is really quite simple. The rocets that are part E10 go under the Port/Left wing and the rockets with part number E9 go under the Starboard /Right wing. The second teir rockers, Parts E5 and E6 are not used as depicted by the instructions but would be with Parts E7 and E8. It could be that there will be another boxing of the Meteor at some point in the future with Non Brittish markings and loaded for ground attack which would use the two teir rockets and then not have you use parts E9 and E10 nor the FR nose parts.

Okay, but why are there 16 rockets with wing attachments when there are only 8 attachment points?

Because parts E7 and E8 have recesses for the piggy back rockert, parts E5 and E6 as parts E9 and E10 don't have the recesses. In fact on checking the normal F.8 that Airfix have released, they do have the recesses for whre the rocket mounting points are so the left over rockets could be used on one of those with after market decals to make a ground pounder.

Ahhh, right, that makes sense - thank you.
That explanation did actually occur to me, but I couldn't see any difference between the two types of top-tier rockets in the video.

I'm tending more and more towards joining the club and getting one of these...

That's how I was able to tell you what parts were for what as I have the kin within arms reach haveing joind the club and received the kit. Not watched the video so I can't comment on that. The reason that some rockets look the same but have a different part number could just be to help you fit parts to one side or the other, there could also be a slight change in angle where the parts meet another surface so if you put the wrong part in the wrong place it will not sit correctly and possibly look decidedly off
