Re the aileron flipping - I might just modify that to something entirely different and more mainstream. The original looks a bit like a"how many an actuator can you fit" contest anyway..

Good to know what to look out for if it ever comes up

I'm still happy with my bargain. 😉

I'd certainly be down the betting shop if ever that happens just to see what the odds on the Sunderland No 9 getting an own goal are

I am very happy with this new kit
For me a very old friend , just build one in 1979 ...  catch this in a german airforce board very cheap from a member , surprisingly because I never looked for that Modell ever again .  The grandfather of the U2

You'll enjoy that it builds really well   Did one a few years back.

Here's my build of her https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=46421.0

The Wooksta!

A care package arrived from Arran today, comprising a ow low level Viper engined Blue Steel and an AW.169. the latter is going as recce type, rather than a fighter.

Glad they arrived ok, rewinging the AW169 for high altitude work & adding tanks for loiter time?

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

They actually are lengthened, but not by much because all the joints are butt-type and they wouldn't have been strong enough. It was a right pain getting them to fit in the first place too!

Then good on ya mate
Glad you did attack em but your right about them on be lengthened much..it's quite hard to see where.
Still tho..it's a very cool plane and one I was thinking of scratch building at one point and still might come up with some mutant version of it.
That reminds me ..gotta hunt down some 48th scale contra rotating propellers...I need a few sets .

Just outboard of the radiator pods.

I put some camera pods under the wings there to disguise the step joint that was apparent. The Pegasus kit isn't all that wonderful and the wings don't match left to right, and the outer wings don't have the same profile as their stubs moulded into the radiator pods either, so I had to do lots of work to make them match up and ended up with the step joints, so I added a small chunk, just because I could.  ;D

Bloody hell mate that's a heap of work for a kit what is by all accounts  ..crap.
I'm surprised you didn't just change the outer wings but shows the skills matey  ;D

Most of the Marlin was built while I was away from home, or I'd have scratched new outer wings for it I reckon.

But it turned ok in the end.  ;D
