I was curious and I found this good review. Basically they are 3D vinyl printed images that look 'bumpy' but they need some mild glue to stick down.

Well these arrived yesterday and to be honest I'm a little disappointed. I was expecting the whole package to be 3D printed, but it's just the instrument panel and rest of the cockpit instrumentation. The seat belts and other bits are "traditional" pre-painted steel etch. Very nice, but not what I was expecting and to be honest I probably wouldn't have bought it if I'd realised.

No idea why Eduard didn't do the seat belts as 3D prints as there's a few companies out there that do seat belts in this medium. I may well e-mail them and ask.

Still I've had some thoughts on what to do with the kit. It may well find it 'self in the 50's GB as a French aircraft based in Algeria in a desert camo scheme. However I'll have to wait and see.

Thumped NZ in the first test, Anderson and Broad now the most successful test bowling partnership in History  Previous was McGrath & Warne.

Second Test started disastrously, but then along came Root and Brooke 

Meanwhile on the train down from Newcastle yesterday I decided upon my 50's GB build  Already have the kit, but will need to check if I have the markings, doubt it, but you never know. Just add them to my next Hannants order if not.

Surprised to find some national markings in a couple of Azure kits I have, so can't back out now    Any other markings can come from the spares box as the prospective user seems to have used relatively simple ones.

Meanwhile in New Zealand some great bowling from Jimmy Anderson again  and two wonderful bat and pad catches by Ollie Pope puts us in a very strong position

Well Stuart Broad ended up with 4 wickets and England enforced the follow on.    New Zealand fought back in their second innings and the fourth day is going to be interesting. BBC News this morning was even talking up an England defeat, something they sadly love to do ever since they lost the tv contract    Same with the rugby.

Meanwhile we beat the Taff's in Cardiff and Palace drew 0-0 with Liverpool, a result I would of been happy with if you'd asked me before the game. So sporting wise a good day.

Modelling wise ? Got some done, but I'm trying to find a relatively simple build (good fit, easy assembly) in the stash to accompany my 50's GB build which I've a feeling could be fun    Probably means a new tool Airfix kit, but not sure which yet ? Maybe the Meteor FR 9 ?

While not having any substantial sport interest, any reason for celebration is a good reason. Catch the day!

It does look good in the box Chris. Very tempted to up it's position in my "to build" pile though I have promised myself that other than Group Builds I am not starting anything untill the current table full of kits is finished, if ever......

It does look good and all the new tool Airfix kits I've built recently go together well.  Ordered some Peewit masks for it yesterday (along with a couple for the He 162) so may well build it straight out of the box

Meanwhile 4th day of the test definitely belonged to the Kiwi's so the 5th day could get interesting.

Currently all the kits on, or even near, the bench require a little bit of effort to get them to a finished state and whilst not particularly onerous I've been musing on a comfort build so to speak to accompany them and my 50's GB build ,which again could be "interesting", on their journey.  Anyway after a fair bit of procrastination I've finally settled on a couple of kits.

Firstly the Airfix Spitfire Vc straight out of the box bar the addition of some resin wheels. I've built the USAAF option so this will be the South African AF option.

Secondly the Airfix Club boxing of the Meteor FR.9. I was going to go out of the box with this but the discovery of a transfer sheet I didn't no I had means it can be plausibly whiffed, and what is more will fit into the 50's GB timescale.

That's the plan, but time will tell how far I get with it. 

As far as the cricket goes, New Zealand won one of the greatest Test Matches of all time this morning by 1 run  . So well done the Kiwi's    in drawing the series and well done to both sides for showing what a great game cricket can be.   

Heck of a comeback by New Zealand considering they had to follow on
