The stash grew today with  Monogram 1/24th Plymouth GTX 2 n 1 ...for 25 bucks I couldn't say no .
A couple of jars of Tamiya extra thin glue was added to the tool pile aswell and at last ..2 packets of 2mm quarter round to that same tool pile ...man I've waited ages to get some of them .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Got home to a neighbour holding a parcel for me from eModels, inside was

1 x 1/72 G.W.H. L7210 Su-35S "Flanker-E" Multirole Fighter, Air to Surface Version. Looks great in the box and the instruction manual, twenty four pages has instructions for literally hundreds of stencils  :o

also delivered today a package from Hobbies and Beyond in Lindsay ON, Canada which contained

1 x 1/72 Aeroclub Gloster Meteor Mk 10 Conversion Set so that's a Swedish entry for the next group build sorted as I have a few Matchbox Meteors in the stash.

Never put stencils on something that scale.  Makes it look far too...busy.  Now, if it were a 1/32 Flanker, then yeah, stencils

My CF-100 arrived y'day. What a BIG aeroplane it is too!

I sat in one that had landed at Chalgrove, Martin Baker's airfield in Oxfordshire, and I'd scammed a ride over to see it with my Dad. It was a LONG climb up the side for 14 yr old me!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Phantoms in any scale look sort of bare without a sh1t load of stencils.

Today I received a packet of 1/24 wheels and tyres from a very nice man in New Zealand.  Thanks Phil.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Back in the day I mainly added the ejection seat triangles and be done with it. These days, I tend to add more, but not too much. I agree that it is easy to "overstencil" a 1/72 aircraft.

Probably 5'10" or so, I was usually the tallest boy in any class.

The Clunk was WAY taller than me, I think I could walk UNDER it!

My late friend Ian has apparently left me his 'small' collection of 1/72 scale stuff according to his daughter.

I have no idea how much of his VAST collection that is, but I'm wondering if I should rent another container..................

Very much so. I just tend to add walkway lines and other obvious ones, but then with WWII stuff there isn't quite as many as on some modern jets to start with.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

So, Methuselah, how many more years will that add to your model building? ;)
