He's not dead yet.  We'd best not jinx that, though.

As did I until I checked. He's still going at 96.

I drew up and printed the transfers for the Farting Falcstang today.

No other modelling done.  It was too hot.

Transfers finished on the Falcstang today.

I'm using new decal paper which is thinner and more fragile than the previous stuff.  Combine this with the disappearance of Testors Decal Bonder Spray from the Australian market and i've had a few issues with ink running.  I think i've got them solved now.

I'm also slowly crawling to completion of the RAN FAA SLUF.  Painting bombs and pylons and doors.  And, while the Hobby Boss A7 is a wonderfull kit it has one drawback.  It has a seam down the centre of the canopy which will need sanding and polishing.  I am girding my loins...

Mostly working on the SLUF today.  I was attaching all the various doors and hatches that the Hobby Boss kit has when I managed to dab the Port wingtip into the blob of superglue gel I had been dipping a cocktail stick into.
I can now report that Loctite glue remover does what it says on the tube.  It's a gel and rubbing it on softened the CA and allowed it to be rubbed off with a cotton bud.
It also took off clear coat, paint, and primer but did so without the damage to surrounding areas and loss of detail which would have resulted from sanding the glue off after it had set.
The first touch up coat of grey looks OK and i think I can make good.
I also put tiny transfers on 17 out of 18 of the Mk 82 bombs that come in the kit.  The 18 transfer vanished into the ether.  I expect i'll find it stuck somewhere inappropriate and obvious when i'm not looking for it.

Good to have a Product Review there, thanks.
And good that it had the desired effect!

Annoying when Murphy fiddles with one's transfers...

I found one stuck to a fingernail once.  I was at work at the time.

:o

Did you start a Trend, then?
I can imagine all the other staff coming up with really weird stuff to out do you - or is that just my warped imaginings? (very probably...!) ;D )

There are some interesting transfers available on Ali... just saying. ;)

I work at the counter in the Post Office.  It would be embarrassing (and possibly result in a complaint and disciplinary action) if a customer spotted a swastika stuck to a thumb nail...

..or the beginning of a really interesting discussion about modelling..  ;)

...or, given the politics of a lot of the older folks living round here, an invitation to join like minded locals (bring your own pointy white hat*).

No thanks.
