If you run into problems with the 1/72 B-29 you can try using the Academy C-97 kits, here's one that I have already started ages ago.

Or something like this:

Now one of these - https://modelingmadness.com/scott/korean/preview/revell/h170.htm - (at a sensible price, of course) could be good fodder for this GB.  Lots of scale-o-rama and re-engining scope, I'd say.

I'm surprised that no one has started building one for this GB.

Well at nigh on £100 a pop on eBay right now I'm not in the least bit surprised!

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Could get a cheaper model and modify it.

I am afraid that the Revell 1/104 Neptune never had a "modern" reissue, while many others contemporary or older kits did.
But there are 1/72 Neptunes, I think. Didn't Hasegawa do one?

As an aside,if you want a REALLY rare issue of the Revell Neptune, try finding the Heller badged one... ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Yes, and FROG did a re-pop of it. Maybe Revell re-popped it in turn?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've always liked the Neptune..it's twin engined for starters but I don't ever remember seeing it as a model here..or anywhere for that matter.
I might hunt down a B-25 and kit bash one ..they've got similar lines .
