Quote from: Pellson on March 11, 2023, 07:33:05 AMFollowing a very rapid delivery indeed, I received this decal sheet yesterday. It'll come in handy when I'm completing my Super Sabre as well as a few other planned projects.

You cannot view this attachment.

It looks good in the envelope, so I'm looking forward to try it out on a model.

That looks nice. Bookmarked their web site and saved their eBay page too

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

I came home from club night with The Mystery Plane !

It's the 1/48 Monogram F-19 Stealth Fighter and it was free  ;D

One of our members was clearing out his Dad's stuff and giving away several old and hard to find kits. It would have been rude to refuse.

Someone else is selling a 1/48 Airfix Tornado GR1A but it's not my sort of thing. Does anyone want me to grab it for them?

Wardukw

Nick you lucky bugger ..that kit was a bif favorite of mine ..it was so ultra modern looking ..even tho it's got F-18 landing gear but still...epic score mate
I've never had a GR1 Tornado but honestly I'm not sure what I'd do with one..what's he asking for it ?
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

It isn't, it's 4' 8.5".  ;D

well  things went well at the Aldersly show today.
15 pots of Tamiya paint for a tenner, mix of colours ill use em all eventualy
a hellar boxing of the 1:48 Airfix Harrier GR3 again a tenner  worth it for the load of SNEB pods,
I then spotted a Tamiya 1:350 Tirpitz for £ 40 and couldn't resist  so got that
They Gent i got the Tirpiz wondered  past the table a little later and said " they've got an Enterprise kit over there" and pointed to a stall at the other side of the hall,
I couldn't see any harm in asking the price  and for £80 i nearly too the sellers arm off    Nuke E for around half price  colour me happy.
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Cannot guarantee the truth of this, but legend has it that "Standard Gauge"   is originally derived from the distance between Roman cart or chariot wheels...............which in turn would be derived from the width of a Roman horse's backside.        In the case of Irish 5'3" gauge, it's possibly the  length of the sword arm of the High King of Tara; or something similar.

I too believe that. There are files in the NRM that provide some evidence that the original tramways were that width because they fitted the grooves in the Roman roadways of umpteen years before.

Now you can bet that some JMN will claim that as the grooves were Roman in origin, and therefore Italian, they MUST have been Metric!

Sadly for them the Metric system didn't exist back then.

Score!   Very rude indeed.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

So what side of the road did the Romans drive on?
It was a while ago and my memory isn't what it should be but ISTR that in the UK (former Southern Region anyway) the trains drive on the left.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Inbound or outbound?  Or is it all double track?

I think that the official terminology in Britain is trains go UP to London and DOWN away from it...................but there are people here who know more than I do about such things
