Think of Hannibal XV crossing the Alps with steam elephants armed with rocket launchers...

As usual Jules Verne got there before us! His novel "The Steam House"  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Steam_House   does indeed feature a Steam Elephant.

Is there a list of suggestions that almost made it for this year but didn't?

I'm not fully sure what you mean ? It was agreed a few years ago that the previous 2 years worth of GB subjects (previous 6 GB's) would be excluded, and they are, unless I'm going madder than usual ?

As for the second question ? Last years voting will tell you what came 4th, 5th etc, and those subjects are eligible for nomination again.

Three reasons for asking Chris,

One. I could not remember if that was all the Group Builds

Two. I can be very lazy at times and could not be bothered to try and find the results from previous years.

Three. I forget what three was  :-\  probably memory

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Do an image search for "mechanical elephant".   Plenty of inspiration there.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Cops and Robbers

I think that all the members of this forum have seen a Cops and Robbers film or TV series so alternative pursuit vehicles & getaway vehicles. This might be easier for the Whifferter to build a pair so we will know who is chasing who. Of course if its an unmarked vehicle it must be explained in the backstory.

Post-War vehicles, ships and aircraft

1918 to 1939.

There's kits that cover the First World War and the Second World War, but what about the bit in the middle? Curves were in, streamlining and the need for speed.

PR19_Kit

One of us IS a cop......................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

A few years ago we settled  on a calendar of three GB's + the 1 Week GB each year as that suits the 3 months per GB schedule. Sometime in the next couple of weeks I will be kicking off a discussion about GB Rules in particular, but if anyone wants to kick of a discussion about scheduling then they are more then welcome, but PLEASE not before then.

Thanks

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

If you move the extension to the beginning of the GB then they'll all finish on time.

It been a while but I'd like another zombie apocalypse GB...we had one some time back which of course I missed .
I'll bet there's still plenty of build ideas out there for one...ive already got 2 .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I have an entire shelf dedicated to kits for Post-Apocalyptic builds - about 1/3 of them Zombie Apocalypses of one kind or another. ;D

I'd support that if it was a general post-apocalypse theme rather than specifically a zombie-induced one. Personally I'm sick-to-death of zombies...

Weaver mate I'm quite happy with your suggestion and it's one my brain didn't even think of to be honest with ya.
Yeah a post-apocalyptic theme is a great idea..can then be anything from a virus...alien invasion ..group of seriously pissed off feminists...or zombies .
A GB where it can be anything your mind can invent to do with surviving a post-apocalyptic world.

Remember that it's supposed to be a fictional apocalypse... ;)

Just look at the pics from Ukraine for ideas.
