If I had a kg of coke in my place and the cops didn't have a drug dog they'd have a nightmare trying to find it 
I've got quite a pile of crap in my place..mostly engineering type stuff .
In my caravan I have all the stuff I need for baking my famous chocolate cake..and here at the camp it is famous..ppl really like it 
Would be funny tho to see a cop take your soda and put it in a drug testing bag    
Real cops don't taste drugs with the tip of their finger like they do in the movies.

Point 1: Most drugs are, basically, tasteless, at least in the amounts you can get on a finger tip.
Point 2: If what you are sampling is pure, you're going to get stoned.
Point 3: If it's PCP (Angel Dust), you're going to get stoned AND, if you do it more than once, possibly kill yourself, as PCP is a cumulative toxin with no antidote & a very low amount required to be fatally toxic in Humans.

Now;

I'm lead to believe that an alternative to baking soda, which can, sometimes, continue reacting to the CA glue & keep swelling, is talcum powder which is much more stable.

You find Guy that's it's not the taste..it's the tingle..thr mistake made in movies is they seems to think cops keeps doing that which they haven't done since the late 70s ..apparently cocaine makes your tounge tingle ..never tried it ..talking with some blokes who knew a ton more about this problem the main they themselves never tasted it was poison..you can have a powered poison with has the exact same consistency as coke ..that cut coke..not pre cut..quick taste ..ya dead..these 4 blokes ..2 DEA and 2 from the Scotland Yard ..I think they were MI5 or 6..I never did know for sure ..christ they didn't say much and bloody intense chaps too..always seemed angry ..the DEA guys were pretty cool guys..I was still military but not working with these dudes..this was a friend of mines line of work.
I have held a kilo of cocaine and stood beside a pallet of black tar heroine..all from a bust..didn't think much of it and glad it's about to be destroyed...oh by the way..there was a crap load more coke than the kilo I held...wish I remembered how much but it was over 500kgs..nothing by today's captures.

   ..sorry to say ive had first hand experience with this crap ..not combat based..as I mentioned an old friend of mine was and still is involved with this..ain't seen him much as he's based in Europe now .
But yeah I got to learn and see some pretty wicked stuff with him..he's quite experienced to say the least..he told me working in Mexico and Columbia was an eye opener he'll never forget and with the pics he showed me.. im not bloody surprised why .
He did tell me a couple of times that ppl with my skills come in quite useful if I wanted a change of pace..still part of me wonders what it would have been like

As to the CA mix, Talcum Powder all the way! Sets CA fast, but doesn't go CA granite hard and works easily. And if you mix it well, you don't have surprise nodules of glue.
It can be mixed into quite a variety of mixes (sloppy to stiff) and still give you a good amount of working time to apply.

OK I have to remember to buy some talcum powder tomorrow and in fact I'm gonna write it down on my shopping list right now  .
If not I'll forget ..it's a right pain lads .

Oh experimenting is a definite matey  ..I might have a wee accident with a model and end up a hole which needs filling

The dullest pencil has a better memory than the sharpest mind. So I've been told.
 I just enter appointments in my phone while I'm still standing at the counter at the drs office or still on the phone with them.

I don't bother doing that because what ever I'm doing at that moment overrides everything else memory wise.
Head wounds can do strange things ..my memory for ppls names is literally 2 to 3 minutes and if I don't keep hearing it I wont remember at all .

Lists, everyone needs LISTS! 

Don't talk to me about lists..I'll write down my shopping list..write down everything I need..grab my wallet..phone and so on..jump in me car and go grocery shopping and guess where the list is ..sitting right where I left it..now I have to have my wallet right beside my list when I write it that way its straight into my wallet ..if I don't ill forget...it's bloody annoying..my short term memory is shot.

As for Super Glue & Talc  ? I've used it a few times, and it's brilliant
