That was well known way back in the 1880's when a certain Lord High Executioner had one!

You know somewhere there's a Customs/Law Enforcement official sitting in front of a p.c. running the "latest" A.I. software already working out how he's going to spend all the money he gets from his promotion after reading all this about CA & Talc etc   The explanations could get interesting
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Be even more fun if you can watch his face as he sees that promotion racing out of reach because he's wasted tens of thousands of dollars/pounds investigating people who merely use cyanoacrylate & hydrated magnesium silicate.

It would or could get very complicated if said customs officer wasn't liked and some enterprising person got a kilo of talc and kinda wrapped in plastic and taped the hell out of it and it's ended up at this dudes desk

Tape it to the underside of the desk. Make it look like he's hiding it.

Absolutely prefect place and then make a call and see what happens

I use graphite with epoxies, and I've used it with superglue and the point is that it adds bulk
rather than absorbing the epoxy or cyanoacrylate. The secret is to have a sacrificial mixing
pallete/dish (I like the domed metal cap that comes on corked and wired beer or wine) and
mixing paddle like a coffee stirrer. Medium to thick bodied cyanoacrylate works best, you can
either make a small mound of the powder and add the glue to the middle or add the powder
to a puddle of glue. But if you have one of those dispenser squeeze bottles, don't use the
nozzle to dispense the graphite, transfer it to a separate container, empty paint bottles work,
and then spoon it out with a small spatula or stick, the coffee stirrer mixing paddle works
well for the purpose.

Yup - I use a flattened aluminium can, and a wooden chopstick - the dried stuff will scrape off both quite readily.

Having another think, most inert powders would work - chalk dust, corn flour are another couple of ones I thought of.
Like they say in cooking, adding liquid to dry is better - you don't wind up with too much mixed up, and it's easier to make more than to find something else to fill before the excess goes off.

That's interesting Jon ..least I know for sure how the graphite system works and how.. I do know one thing for certain..I'd make one hell of a mess ..I always do when I play with anything graphite  ;D

Rick that's also great knowing that cause as it turns out here getting talc is getting harder and harder to get but corn flour is super easy to get and I might even have some but not checking tonight..ive been up since 4:15am this morning and it's 6:51pm and I'm shagged .

Yeah, sorry - the 'talc' I use is the Johnson's Cornstarch-based stuff... the family usually calls it Talc as shorthand.

Wardukw

All good Rick...turns out I have corn flour and I didn't even know
Pack n save do have the Johnson and Johnson talc so I'll grap some of that too ..play time when I do and see which one takes the longest for me to bugger up..then I'll have a winner

On the build front ...the model is scribed and primed and tomorrow it's very possible it gonna get colour ..don't quote me on that tho.
