Quote from: kerick on March 22, 2023, 01:26:19 PMJust a suggestion, could we add Phantoms to the Buccaneer, Harrier and Jaguar GB? Assuming it makes the cut of course.

Sorry, no. The proposal was for the 3 specific aircraft and they are also British (Anglo/French in one case) designs in the same way as the LHC GB. It just makes it to different from the original proposal in my view.

Whilst I'm happy to consider merging similar subjects (which I probably should have done in the first place) when it comes to Round 2 I just feel adding something completely new alters a subject to much and if I do it for one I'll be getting "oh could you just add ******* to the so-and-so suggestion when it comes to Round 2.

Pass ?

I've no idea what you mean by that, could you explain ?

Take the subject of water. Things that can cross it,land/take-off from it, carry things over it,  and under it,then when it's frozen the same question  Four ways of voting for the same subject.

No. They each have specific nuances. Using your assumption we might as well not have a vote because if you try hard enough you could fit anything into any subject.

I've retyped that statement (and deleted a few things) 5 times because I really am starting to get annoyed with this. If you try hard enough you can find holes in anything. That's all I'm going to say for now, please don't push me.

I realize I should have voiced my thought much earlier instead of during the voting. Sorry about that. Also, thank you for doing all this. I can only imagine how much work goes into these types of things. Take your time. No hurry.

I've made a note of your Phantom idea to include it in next years Poll as part of a 3 aircraft group which would be made up of US aircraft in British service.

Phantom as a stand alone subject for a GB would work.  So much scope.

I'll start a new list for next years vote.    ;)

I thought had a few of them, forward planning etc.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Would the Lockheed C-130 and the Boeing Chinnook be included to make up the three?

Phantom GB is a great idea.  Wish I'd thought of that this year!   :banghead:   Oh well...never too soon to plan for 25, right?

Also to add to the thanks to Chris for doing all of this.  Must be quite a chore.  Your efforts are much appreciated.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Ladies and gentlemen   ,  could you maybe write down your suggestions for NEXT year somewhere in your computers and avoid discussing them now?
As  you  all will have forgotten everything by then and we'll have to start again...
I am sure Narses is tired enough of this year's poll.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I keep a list on my laptop adding anything that occurs to me or is suggested as the year progresses.
Thats why every year I come out with so much crap many suggestions.
