That sounds way too professional  ;D

Hahaha oh this I'm loving this ..how many times have we had grand ideas..then build said grand ideas and ask ourselves why do we do this to ourselves over and over again..damn I love our hobby 😀
I'm really gonna try a simple build ..yeah right  :o 🤥

Right, cockpit glasshouse masking is done!

And so are my eyes! :o

Think I'll give them a bit of a rest, now, & come back to it in a while to do the other pre-painting bits.

Very sensible mate

You know those little bits you find just before (or just after) you're about to make a major step towards finishing the model? Well, I've just found a few! :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

Hopefully won't take long to fix but annoying, none the less.

Lumps and bumps?  I found a shed load of them when I thought I was about to finish the Libyan Clipper.  Teach me not to study the destructions more closely.

Exhaust covers in this instance, but I'm going to check the destructions (yes. I use the word, too) to make sure there aren't any others.

There are parts I won't be attaching until after the painting & transfers/decals are done; small parts too likely to be damaged or lost during these stages but I'm aware of them & they're in one of the Typhoon boxes waiting for their call-up.

I try and remember to hi-lite those bits on the instructions that I'm leaving to the final stages, and I still forget the odd one or two  :banghead:

As mentioned, Colour #1 (SMS Dark Earth) applied earlier this evening.

Now, one wing masked for Colour #2 (SMS Forest Green).

Discovered that letting SMS lacquer paints come into contact with bare styrene is sub-optimal, it eats into the plastic & leaves a rough surface & finish.

Not on the airframe, luckily, & nothing that couldn't be fixed, which I've done.

Not sure what to do about Colour #3 ... SMS's Lancaster set provides their Camo Black, but I think that's just too Black; the Blue Black I bought as a possible substitute is too pale; thinking a custom mix of the two might do the trick, I'll have to mix some (start with a 50-50 mix & work out from there, if it makes a suitable blend).

Anyway, that's it for tonight. I'm off to bed! Tomorrow is shopping & housework day, so I'll probably get back to it tomorrow arvo or evening.

Thanks for sacrificing some of your precious modelling time!
