Maybe a slightly swept wing in a gull shape. Hmmmmm....
Or raise the engines so the propellers are clear of the wings edge. Or something like this;

Boy does that look Russian or what? I'll have to keep that in the bash file. I've never seen that before and it looks cool! The pic looks like a picture of a book. What book would that be? I bet some more crazy Russian stuff in there.

It's based on the Beriev A-40 /A-42 Mermaid/Albatross turbofan amphibious flying boat which developed into the Beriev Be-200. Mainly used in aerial firefighting. Greece has leased it out and did place an order, so did the USA through a private company which has gone bust so nothing has come of this.
There's the Anigrand 1/144 model and the 1/144 Be-200 at a much lower price but a bit fiddly to build.

The Lockheed Constitution, to me it looks like the Boeing 747 with the engines from a Tu-95 Bear. Both kits are available in 1/144 scale. Not quite a simple build but I like a challenge.
Then there's the Lockheed Starliner, it's a Constellation with straight wings. I have a Airfix/Heller SuperG fuselage which can be grafted to an Academy or Airfix B-29. My intention is to build several Starliner whiffs.
The Lockheed L-400 is still within my budget as well as another Tornado Delta project to which I hope to finish.
The outrageous Avro Shackleton Rotodyne and a Avro York Rotodyne.
The Boeing SST in 1/144 scale.

I've  been toying with the idea of a bomber based on the Lockheed L-749 Constellation. This was an actual proposal (XB-30) but, it came to nothing. I have the gun turrets and, bomb bay parts salvaged from an old Airfix B-29 . Might be possible to combine with a Heller Connie . This could be fun!.  Given the low wing configuration, I figure bomb bays fore and aft of the wing ?

IIRC, didn't TomZ convert a Connie into a bomber not too long ago, with SEA paint scheme?  :o

I don't know but, I'll have a wee look. Thanks for the heads up

The Wooksta!

I really want to get out of the pseudo Luftwaffe rabbit hole I'm trapped in.

This reminds me of a joke that I heard.
A man falls down a hole and shouts for help,  the first person replies 'sorry I can't help you but I will report your location to the emergency services '. Then walks off.
A priest hears the cries of help but says that he will pray for him,  then walks off.
A Whiffer hears the cries for help and jumps down into the hole. The Wooksta! says 'why did you do that for, we are both trapped down here?'
The Whiffer replies, ' well I have been down this hole before but I know the way out '.

As usual, my master plan for 2023 is to get to the end of it, and wish you all a happy 2024.     On the way, I intend to enjoy other people's work as posted here  and to create the odd backstory .  Not exactly an exciting programme, but it will do nicely for me.

My revised plan is to finish all of my started builds before I return to work, as I don't know when this will be I've set the summer of 2026.
My body is healing at a slow speed.

I can't tell you about the plans I have about the constructions around a special 2 engine German WW2 jet fighter .

Other than my ongoing project for Scottish Independent Republic Air Force,, I've got a stash of five Airfix F-4D-1 Skyray kits . I rather like this subject and, it's one of those I feel deserves a second chance so, I'm going on the premise that it was developed with a true, multi role capability thereby leading to increased production and, overseas sales.Currently on my bench now is the Royal Navy version. Next to follow will be a Belgian A F version. Haven't decided on the other three yet!
