You could offer the Seafire to me for free and I still wouldn't bother.  All of the SH late model 'Fires have shape and size issues, not to mention poor fit (I still have the flashbacks from the Xtrakit 22, moulded by MPM.)

My thoughts on the 'tragedy' are outlined elsewhere.

I started wondering if a bit of heat and a vacuum pump would result in realistic crush damage...

I suppose given the time these things take to create SH had done all the work and had the kits ready in the expectation the whole tourism venture would be a success and they'd benefit from the publicity ?

I'd love to see the reaction of the IPMS (UK) Committee if someone did that and took it to Telford. Could become a very interesting conversation on "Freedom of Speech" 

OR you could just show it successfully looking at the Titanic and say, "well, it IS a What-If?"...

There was a hefty scaled Titanic wreck shown at Telford a few years ago, modelled from the gate-fold pics in the Ballard book on the ship.

MOST impressive modelling it was too.
