I'm looking for the following weapons in 1/72nd, but I can't find any on sale either as aftermarket bits or in kits I want to buy and rob. If anybody's got any suggestions where I could get these, or they've got ones that they want to sell, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

AS.11s/SS.11s:
The 1st gen anti-tank missiles made in France, sold in huge numbers and used on multiple air and ground platforms. I'd have thought these were easy to get, but apparently not. So far, all I've managed to find are:

1. The Azur Dassault MD.114 Flamant Algerian war boxing, with 6 x missiles. Ultimately, if I can't get them anywhere else, I'll buy this and rob it, but I'd rather not since I have zero interest in the aircraft.

2. Various sellers on Shapeways, but their exorbitant postage makes them unattractive (I could buy the Flamant from Special Hobby for less & have a whole plane left over).

Platforms it was used on: Alouette II & III, Scout, Huey, Wessex, Jagdpanzer HS.11, Jagdpanzer Rakete I, AMX-13, numerous trucks and jeeps.

B28, B43, or B57 nuclear bombs.
Carried by US & NATO strike aircraft in the 1960s & 1970s. I can find earlier (Mk.7) and later (B61) types, but not these, which are the types carried by CF-104s during their service (no, Blecher Bits don't make them).

Ooh, thank you - they DO have lots of interesting stuff, don't they?

Alas, the Wasp set is AS.12s, not AS.11s : they're quite different and I've actually got some AS.12s: CMR(?) do a set. Ironically, they do loads of conversions for the Scout, but not the 4 x SS.11 fit... :banghead:

The Wessex set is interesting, but I need four AS.11s, so I'd have to buy two sets, and at £20 that comes out more expensive than buying the Azur Flamant.

HOWEVER:

I've just gone right through their shop and THEY DO HAVE THE NUCLEAR BOMBS, well the B28 and B43 anyway, in exactly the right versions (CF-104) too, so I will be placing an order shortly!

Thank you very much!

I'm tempted to say that I would take the Flamingo off your hands if you get it.

Okay, great. Give it a few days for a new paycheck to hit the account, then I'll place the order, and let you know when your flamingo comes in... ;)

I'll wait until I've got it in my hands: I don't like to jinx things by announcing them or making plans until they've actually arrived!

Italeri's B-58 comes with four B43 instant sunshine devices. Eduard also makes a set of B43's.

If that's so I've got all four of them in my B-58 box. I'll never use them on any build I do with it....................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Aww crap: I've actually GOT an Italeri B-58 myself, but it never crsossed my mind to look at it... :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:
Mind you, now I have, they don't look particularly accurate anyway.

Oh well, the B28EX I've ordered from Air Graphics actually suites the scheme I want it for better (very early Canadian Starfighter-but-not-a-Starfighter), plus they had lots of other goodies that will help with other projects too.

Contributing to the inaccuracy is the weird looking "collar", this is part of the nose radome cover that is supposed to be removed before flight, but on the kit bombs it looks like it was meant to be an integral part of the casing.

The pointed tail cone as depicted on the kit's bombs was intended for supersonic carriage, and even a F-104 loaded with four gasbags and centerline nuke was subsonic or transonic at best, so therefore did not use it (neither did other tactical fighters/bombers, since by the time B43 came around, high-Mach high-altitude penetration was out of the question especially over the Central Front). So on any other platform than B-58 it can be cut away to make the shape more like those in most photos.
