the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

No progress today.  A favourite niece dropped in and talked non-stop for an hour and a half.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I've got one of those, but she's 310 miles away  ;D

I have now reached the stage where having filed off too much resin I glue on styrene to make parts fit.
 :banghead:
One time I'll remember how soft resin is and how much comes off with one swipe of the abrasive thing.

See as a long time user of resin parts I know this stuff..what grit sanding sticks work best ..resin dust is not as toxic as some say it is and what's best to glue this stuff.
Do I remember all these things all of the time ..noooo ...when i do make a cock up trust me it don't take long ttto bloody remember then 🤨
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Kudos to Freightdog.  The fit of the chin and ventral scoop/outlet* parts was excellent.  All I needed to do was clean off the moulding blocks, flash, and some slight mould separation marks and they fitted very snugly.  Not something i've found in previous resin conversions.
Excellently designed as well.    for the use of the ventral clear part hole to positively locate the resin.

*Radiator under the chin, oil cooler under the fuselage?

Thanks Brian.

I've also rescued my transfer folders from storage and dug out an Aztec Decals Juicy Jugs set which has a number of schemes for central and latin american Thunderbolts.
I'm also certain this will be Cuban.
