I'll try to hurry up as best I can! The second one will probably get a whiff paint and decal combo. I've got an A-36 Apache kit in 1/48th that would look good next to these.

Yup, a nice comparison.

I sprayed the painted Mustang with a coat of acrylic gloss from Hobby Lobby. I didn't know if it would react with thirty year old paint or not but it worked out fine. Nice and glossy now waiting for decals. Still trying to imagine a paint job for the other Mustang. The same set of decals has markings for a bare metal one so that might happen.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

A little progress so far. Not sure how far to go with the maintenance stencils. I hate it how they give makings for three aircraft and insignia and stencils for only one. I think I'll scrounge from the decal book and save the ones I have for the other Mustang.

Model time is going to be short as my wife fell at work and broke her arm this morning. Next couple of weeks will be rough but if everything goes right she can avoid surgery. I'll be spending more time as doctor Ken but that's what it's all about. At least it will be covered by worker's comp.
Thinking about the A-10 Seahog that keeps staring up at me saying "Finish me!" I need to break out the gunship grey and get on with it.

I agree, that one has to be finished!

I've got the RF-23 to finish too. I need to apply some grey stripes to represent the stealth trim around the fuselage openings.

Hope your good lady makes a speedy recovery.

The Monogram "B" looks excellent in its OD/NG - I've heard that its pretty accurate dimensionally, even though the panel lines are raised. Looking forward to the NMF one!

My wife says thanks to everyone. We are getting a semblance of a routine here so the situation is getting better.

Not much model building other than finishing the stencil decals on the Mustang. Crazy how even when I have a backlog of projects my brain keeps thinking of new ideas all the time. Zero San had a pic of a Harrier cockpit on a Skyhawk fuselage that seems like it would be awesome. Too many ideas, not enough time!

Gald to hear wifey is coming along good mate 👍

As for too many ideas..not enough time ⏲️...that's all of us bud  ;D
What I bloody hate is coming up with new ideas while in the middle of one build and determined to finish that build and still remember the ideas for a future build  :o

I tried keeping a list but that got ridiculous really fast. Now I might save a pic to remind me or if it keeps popping up in my head it must be a good one and I go with that. Last thing I want to do is start on some build like I feel like I should. Then it's a job, not a hobby.

That's so ture Ken...when ya feel you have to finish to something instead of want too it starts to take the fun out of it .
One thing I do if I've got a good idea and I remember it I make a new folder on my comp .. that way I'll keep seeing it and that keeps the idea alive.
