Looks like something the former USSR would have built.

I think it's a re-popped FROG 1/96 scale mould from the look of it.

it is rather a kind of diecast (to be assembled with included screws, with quite coarse wheels ...)
but then actually in plastic, not metal

Ahah, maybe they used the FROG kit as 'master'? Not the first time that's happened.

DC-7 & Pogo mash-up looks like it could feature in 'No Highway', with James Stewart at the controls.

.... and Marlene Dietrich in the cabin.

Based on the size of the wings in relation to the fuselage, it's probably closer in size to the old 1/122 Revell DC-7.
