I lust after the 1/72 as I would then have another reason to whiff 1/72 vehicles.

Look and lust............  ;D

Note the Scale Reference Tamiya paint pot in the foreground for size, it's a BIG box, albeit slightly dampened and dented due to the bathroom ceiling falling on it.  :banghead:  Yeah, I know it's a Japanese one, but it's only the decals that make it so.

I might suggest we enter into a 'negotiating posture', but I suspect the shipping charges to Oz would be exhorbitent!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Git.   ;)  ;D

You are right of course about posting something that huge.  Not worth it.
I'm sure Trumpeter will re-pop it at some stage and i'll get one then.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

ISTR that was announced but never actually released?

The rumour I heard was that the prototype model wound up as a display on the Dragon Boss' desk ... pity.

Totally stupid move then if that's the case..why the hell put it in a catalog and never release it ? .
I would have probably brought ten of em  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Not the first time it's occurred- I saw mention of an early WW2 British truck in 1/35, in an ancient ESCI catalogue as a 'coming item'... guess what happened?

Yeah I can already guess the outcome of that ..or should say lack off.
I do hate when model companies do that 😒

Now you mention it, I think I also read something to that effect once, long ago.

AFV Club announced a YPR-765 kit in the early-mid 1990s — I have an A4 flyer with new and upcoming releases from back then that shows it. Hang on ...

You cannot view this attachment.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have a date on it, but these are all very early kit releases by AFV Club: the M548 was released in 1992, for example. The YPR would take until 2003 to actually come out, even though this flyer from about ten years earlier already has a picture of a finished model ... (OK, OK, that's not a YPR but an AIFV in Belgian markings. The kit actually released was a YPR, followed soon by an AIFV kit.) Nobody expected it anymore by then.

Maybe Dragon could do the same? ;)
... I know all this and more ...

Wardukw

With Dragon being the way they have been I doubt that mate..it's been well over 25yrs now I'd bet  and even Dragons new releases are just upgraded releases from yrs ago.
So Jakko mate my breath will not be held waiting for this one   <_<

You're seriously out of stash space if you're storing them in the bathroom Kit...  :o  ;)

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

PACV.jpg

I know there's a 1:35 scale resin kit that part of me wants to buy and build, but part of me thinks I would never actually do or finish ...

That's an SRN5, or a Bell copy of one anyway.

USN PACVs were SR.N5 purchased from BHC and modified with US equipment, they
were designated SK-5.

The US Army ACVs were built by Bell to a modified design - flat decks being the most
obvious change, and designated SK-5A.

Bell worked closely with BHC on all of their developments. The chief engineer and program
manager on the SES-100B was Peter J. Mantle who had started his engineering career as an
apprentice at SARO before getting his degrees. During his apprenticeship he had worked
under Cockerell.

Nooooooooooooo, the bathroom is the halfway house to The Loft. The ladder to The Loft goes up at the far end of the bathroom so kits going up or down tend to spend time in transit there.

Hope you put the transfers somewhere else, or in a sealed bag... moisture and waterslide... not good, I've lost a few that way... :banghead:

Remember Rick, Kit is a pom.  You might be making an assumption regarding his bathing habits...
