Sprayed some flat over the Mustang a few days ago. Just about time to try picking the tape off the canopy. Pray for me!

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I removed the 30 year old scotch tape from the canopy. It came off reasonably well considering how long it was on there. Lots of the adhesive stuck to the canopy but came off using the sticky side of another piece of tape. Pics in the morning.

When I was a nipper Monogram were regarded as the "bees knees", class above most kits available to us Brits, and 1/48th  ;)  Fond memories

I've just picked up a 1/48 Monogram OS2U-3 Kingfisher, the mouldings are lovely although the interior is almost non-existent. But the box does have 1966 on it! I hear the float is 35% undersize, but that's fine as its going to be a wheeled Mexican example.

The year my eldest was born, yes. And no, she's NOT the one who's the RAF's best etc. etc................  ;D

But she's an exceptional woman in her own right, and can cook for EUROPE!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Here's some better late than never pics.
Decals done before the flat was applied.

Scotch tape removed from 30+ years ago. A bunch of adhesive stayed on the plastic but the sticky side of more scotch tape removed it. Plastic was nice and clean after that!

I was pretty sure I had made this cockpit the same way as the other Mustang. Glad to see I remembered right. I cannot remember where I got the metal seat belt buckles but they look pretty good.
