Water is the bane of my life in this house! :(

Water that SHOULD be in the tanks in The Loft and yet seem to have ambitions to flood the whole place! The decals are ABOVE the tanks normally though...............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That's always been a bad idea is water tanks in the loft..tanks in the loft would be far worse tho..ya know how heavy they can get ?
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

When the council finally deigned to improve our house some years ago they put in a new kitchen, blocked up the coal fire, installed modern central heating with instant hot water to the taps etc. Lovely.

The water tank was condemned, disconnected and left in place because the only way to remove it safely would be to take the roof off. Cutting up a large asbestos tank in a confined space is apparently unwise  :o

The house we lived in in Addiscombe (South London) had been ruined modernised by having  the chimney breasts removed from both floors.
But everything above the upstairs ceiling had been left in place.  This meant that there was at least a ton of brickwork up in the attic above our heads as we slept which was supported on two lengths of four by two laid across the ceiling joists.
Some nights i'd lie awake thinking about that...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

At a guess maybe 60-75% of houses in the UK have water tanks in the loft, if only to provide enough pressure to drive the hot water and shower systems.

Mine has THREE tanks, but which one does what I have no idea as the guy who had them installed, the house owner before me, always did everything on the cheap and hadn't a clue what he was doing.  :banghead:  :banghead:

Small world ;D  I went to school in Addiscombe (Ashburton Sec for boys) and when married lived in Tevan Rd. Still got a couple of mates who live that way.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Oh I've been there Kit..not with water tanks tho..nails ..thousands of nails..and that was just in a frame to hold a bath ! .
Renovating a mates new house..im certain who ever built this house had either shares in Alco nails or he had several hundred boxes he wanted to loose and decided to use everyone one in this place.
I'm not kidding either..he used 12 4in nails to hold down one piece of 2x4 which was say 700mm long! ..nuts mate. :o
