No fancy backstory here, just a PhAF F-20. For the camoflage, i originally wanted to do a sort of low-vis SEA scheme, but decided to throw in blue instead of drk green for overwater missions. Currently loaded with a drop tank, two harpoons, two sparrows, and two sidewinders. The canopy is tinted to hell because i messed up on some instrument panel decals. Whoops

Kit is 1/72 hasegawa with canards off a Kfir. The only thing I don't like about the kit is that the hardware to open up the canopy is molded in the raised posistion, so that took some creative cramming. Otherwise, its a pretty damned good kit. PhAF Decals are homemade.

:) It was fun.

A very sharp looking plane. I especially like the tinted canopy. B)

Sweet !

Awesome colour combo...very nice. I like the weapons, and the subtle panel line weathering. The canards are a very nice touch as well.

COOL!  Phillipino markings rock on an airplane!  Don't know why, they just do!

I love the color scheme.  Makes sense considering all the islands that make up the Phillipines.  That's why I went with medium grey instead of dark ghost grey on my Phillippino F-15 (looks more blue to me).

The loadout is pretty wicked too.

Got a question for you on the decals:  What decal sheets do you use and what printer do you use?

Again, great job!

The decals are very nice!!
I have some Testor sheet and a HP printer!! But I never test it for the moment. Did you spray something in the sheet after the print job?

And by the way, your model is incredible!! I don't know why I never saw canards on this place: now you show me, it sounds so natural!!

Yeah, the testors decal paper is meant to be used with their spraycan bonder, otherwise the ink will run when it touches water. Smells like their laquer, but I'm not sure if its the same thing.

Another thing I've noticed with the paper is that decal setting solution(I use Mr. Mark set) makes the print blur slightly, and gets kinda lumpy because the thick carrier film. Next time I'll avoid using the stuff.

Thanks for the comments! :ar:

Reason I asked is I picked up some Experts-Choice decal paper (it's a standard size 8 1/2x11" sheet) from my LHS, and some liquid decal film to help keep the inks on the paper when put in water.  My decals that I printed up this weekend don't look too good, but it's probably my printer.

I bought some of the Testor's stuff a while back, but lost it while packing for the move.  I'm sure I'll find it somewhere.

I tested my decal sheet on some newer printers today.  I think I found a printer that will work for my decals now (makes the color look good, and rich!).

Thanks for the info!
