.... how its going to turn out. The idea is that the aircraft now carries misslies above and below the wings, I think that the eventual load will be two sparrows and four Red Tops. The first picture is:

I don't know how to post multiple pictures in one go, so the others are:

... and how about using the Airfix Javelin asa Sea Javelin, the wing joint cries out for installing wing folding.

Gary

Is that the Heller kit. How is she to build? I did the Froggy kit and only needed 16 pounds of filler for the wings. Now I'm gonna use another for the Dead Parrot Sketch GB

Sigh.

Yours is kinda exciting, I love the additional loadout.

Great minds think alike matey. I was thinking of doing a Sea Javalin as well, but I had the idea sometime back, and never ent ahead with it. Your's looks bloody good though. Keep at it.

Sweet, my USAF Vietnam version carries 2 x red tops and 2 x napalm cannisters, I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Sea Javelin..............................sexy

Dork the kit slayer

When I did my  "US Jav",I opted for underwing fuel tanks and six sparrows recessed under the fueslage ( ala F-4) this left room for a couple of pylons under the wings.

To my twisted way of thinking a "Sea Javelin" would be configured along similar lines.  Leaving of the fuel blisters from the original would give lots of reccess room and perhaps be able to double up on underwing "loiter" or "long range" tanks.??

I also thought about overwing style tanks "Lightning "style. :o

You may have noticed that the "British" fuel cells would find a good home with a fellow Wiffer......should you choose not to use them..........ME!!

I really wish I still had my Blackburn/Gloster Sea Javelin F.6 to show you guys.

I cooked it up from Heller's T.3 Javelin kit about 10 years ago or so and had no camera to take pics of it.

As misfortune would have it, it was destroyed in a move before I could get pics of it. :(

The kit this is based on is the Heller (but in an Airfix box) one. I got it in a one of those theme packs (aircraft of the RAF I think). I considered the recessed Sparrow missile option but since joining this site I realised that it was too easy ! The missile pylons are from the Airfix F15E (as will be the Sparrows). I think that the crew would hjave to shut their eyes (and probably duck) when the upper missiles were launched.

I'll put some pictures of the finished item on when its done. I've kept the under fulsalage fuel cells which is why I didn't go for the recessed Sparrows. That is for a future build.

I think that this kit is better than the Frog offering (not suprising considering the age differences) which I have built as air defecne version sin modern RAF colours.

I may have mentioned before that I am 'in between' houses right now, so when I get the stuff out of storage I can really get going.

Just came across this and wanted to express my eagerness to see where you go with this.

Good luck with the house-move: take care of the styrene!

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.
