i think he means the G1
yes that was the one i was thinking of guys.

mind went a bit blank at the point where i tried to remember what it was called.

all i could remember was that i thought two dutchmen tried escaping in one from
holland in 1942 and that some were used as trainers by the luftwaffe.

With a wing fold, it should be possible to operate the G. 1 from a carrier. It's still pretty big, though.

G.1 dimensions:
Wing Span:      17,16 m
Length:    10,87 m
Height:    3,80 m

D.21:
Wing Span: 11.00 m
Length: 8.20 m
Height: 2.95 m

Fairey Swordfish (as a reference)
# Length: 35 ft 8 in (10.87 m)
# Wingspan: 45 ft 6 in (13.87 m)
# Height: 12 ft 4 in (3.76 m)

Thanks Gents - greatly appreciated

As for a navalised G1 - I've 2 in the stash ?

IHG - You read my mind (almost) I was going to navalise a Bloch 152 but maybe a D 520 is a better choice ? There was a floatplane version after all.

As for an Airabonita there is a very nice RS Models resin kit in 1/72

I've found the 30's Cold War thread to be one of the most inspirational ever from my point of view - have to start on the mighty Red Airfleet next - a navalised Mig 3 serving on the "Odessa Steps" in the Med in 1944 (the reason the Spanish got the FW 190   )

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
