popped into woolies in lichfield this afternoon for a few things and noticed that they had 2 airfix bomber twinpacks going at half price....

b-24 and b-29 in 1/72 for £16, and b-25 and stirling in 1/72 also for £16.

bargain? probably...no space in my suitcase though alas.

I'll be over there in 6 days!  Hope they're still on sale when I get to the Woolies in Darlington!!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I picked up similar bargains in Woolworths in Aberdeen at Easter. These shops are always worth a look.

I picked up two of the the Pacific set. My daughters (Phoebe and Sophie) started the Zeros today (should that be Zeroes?). Good starter kits for a 7 and 8 year old. I'll post pictures soon. The Avengers are earmarked for conversion using the Skywaves (or something) sets.

exactly what i did!

popped in there last thing on tuesday evening and got both sets...now to figure out what to do with them...

i'm thinking flying boat for the b-25 and b-24, cargo version of the stirling, and not sure about the b-29 yet...fun fun fun!
