Forgiveme for saying this, but I have always liked more the Fixed wing Tornadoes. So I have a very soft spot for this awesome build.

Great one, Overkiller!

The Tornado really does look good with fixed wings, very nice bit of modelling you have there Duncan

The fixed wings suit it so well, make you wonder why they ever made it VG in reality.

Very nicely done, thanks for sharing.

Well done! That's a nice-looking model, and an interesting backstory to boot.

You used a Tornado GR and the wings from a Vigilante?

one tip for taking photos: increase the distance to the subject a bit, or see if your camera has a macro setting. That makes it easier to get the model in focus rather than the background.

Great job: perfectly believable.
Love the subtle stuff, too, like the way you modified the leading edge of the tailplanes so they weren't simply straight.

Very, very good to see this one, thanks!

The fixed wing Tornado is very nice, as previously mentioned, very much a British Eagle.

Sweet build Duncan,

Almost looks like something that was which has to be a good thing.

Nice looking Tornado.  I like it with the fixed wings.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Very nice Duncan!!  Great backstory too, nice job meshing the real history with the whif history.

We've got our own little fixed-wing Tornado GB now!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Top model, mon brave!  Like the other commentators I also like the idea of a fixed-wing Tonka, and that every one of those posted on this site is always a little different from the others.  I've got an old Airfix GR.1 in Gulf war 1 markings that, when replaced, is going to be mated to inverted F-4 wings - I think there may have ben a bit of a TSR.2 legacy in a fixed-wing Tonka!   ;D ;D
