Guys,

I was recently browsing eBay and couldn't understand why there were no Rotodynes for sale. Not that I'm burning to have one, it just seemed odd that there were none for sale on that day.

My question - Just how easy are they to get a hold of here in the UK (and how much do they usually go for)? - I'm not at all bothererd by which release/box art etc, 'cos obviously it will be Whiffed into something very different to what Airfix had in mind  ..... over to you.

It's simple.

After seeing all the potential projects that might have come out of the Rotodyne, based on our models, the RAF is quietly buying up the remaining kits and hiding them so that we can't build any more and continue embarrasing them about destroying the indigenous aircraft industry.

It's True, I tell you!  :dum:

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Ian,
Check with the Aviation Hobby Shop as they alway have them listed

I remember seeing a couple at the Huddersfield show - I remember it cos you get the impression the Rotodyne is like the Aurora Cheyenne.  In fact, I remember seeing a Rotodyne in my local Do-It-All a couple of years ago

Nev (who doesn't have any Rotodynes.  Or Mirage IVs)

Look what I just found on eBay..... $4.00 or thereabouts. There's also one here in the UK, but the photograph wasn't as sexy !

Dead easy to get, and usually at a reasonable price but like all other things there's a glut of them when you're not that bothered and scarce and pricey when you really want one.
I've noticed all these things are cyclical on Ebay, lately there's been alot of Airfix Superfreighters after a couple of months of almost none.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Ian, I'm after a couple too for the larger Rotodyne Z version destined for the RAF I've got planned.  I was told Kingkit have them in stock at £10 each.  I spotted one at Waddington Airshow last month & the bloke tried charging me seventeen quid for it, I politely declined then muttered under my breath that he was a robbing b*****d!

They have them in stock right now:

EDIT, link dosen't follow the search I did but if you hit Search Stock & type in Rotodyne you'll find it.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
