The Swedish military evaluated the AH-64 to replace its Bo-105s in the anti tank role a few years back.Assuming they had selected the Apache, this is how it might have looked in the splinter camo.

I think they did select the Apache, I remember seeing a picture of someones Swedish AH-64 at the IPMS Stolcholm website.

Well,I hope they did,but as I remember it,they put off buying any gunships. They evaluated the Apache and the Mi-28 Havoc and said something to the effect of "Both machines have their faults, but if we were going to select one,it'd be the Havoc"

Sweden has a pretty good standing with the US, getting test data from various flight test programs, manufacturing licenses for weapons (mainly air-to-air missiles), and recently even cancelled several multi-million dollar contracts with the Venezuelan military after the US placed an embargo on military equipment to said country. Considering this I find it hard to believe that the Swedish military would chose a Russian design over an American design; a Russian design that never entered serious production and of which only a handful of prototypes were made.

Though I have to admitt that the Havoc looks significantly meaner(uglier) than the Apache and would look more kick a$$ in a Swedish splinter camo than the Apache.

I could be wrong, since its been awhile since I read the story, but I believe the Havoc had better cold weather performance and was simpler to maintain. So,those two things are what tipped it in the Havoc's favor.Nothing is set in stone though,a year after the Apache/Havoc did their flyoff, the Sweds tested the Eurocopter Tiger as well,so at this point, who knows.I think they're just seeing what their options are if and when they do decide to order something.
