I also introduced my girlfriend to modelism those days We started by Heller spitfire mk9 in 1/72 scale. It was a simple model, easy to do as first model (actually, this was my third model 10 years ago )
Here's the result







After this spitfire, she has taken a different way : she started a 1/24 cars collection. First model was a New Mini,but she has discovered  a preference for 30's car such as Traction or Bugattis.

Oh, that is nice!  Love those old cars too...just don't show her the absolutely fantastic kit of Nemo's car from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen !

You said it! Last time she come to my home we saw the film...well, only a part of it because we were very deceived! The basic idea is quite good, but the film itself is not very interesting. But we saw this fabulous car!!! Is there a model of it available somewhere?
