Thought y'all might like to see this beauty. I'm sure it's been thought of before, but it never crossed my mind to do up a captured German aircraft in Soviet colors.
Hmmmmmmmm.........

Thats not a whiff, I have heard from several sources and seen several pictures of Fw-190d-9's in Soviet service. A couple squadrons from the Soviet Baltic fleet impressed 30 or so into service at the end of 1945 for about a year or two.

That for sure is not a whiff, I have several pictures of Fw 190D-9s with the Red stars painted on them.

The new book(s) by Jerry Crandall and Vol.2 of the JaPo Fw 190D Camouflage & Markings should have information about the Doras captured by the Russians.

I have been thinking about doing a Ta 183 that had been captured by Russian forces and having the Red stars painted over the German markings.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Don't forget German aircraft use in the USAAC / USAAF.

1939-1940 USAAC XC-44 was a Bf-108.

C-79 was a single Junkers Ju52, possibly a impressed aircraft.  Don't know.

Anyone for a Ju352 re-engined with R2800s and flown by USAFE in the late 40s as a C-79B?

Fw 190 was the NC-900.
