We have to ask Elmayerle how much the Iroquois was smaller and lighter than the J-75... (what increase in performances ?)

I got the J-75 info from the 59-60 Jane's
16 stage compressor (9 low, 7 high)
2 spool
6 burners
3 stage turbine (1 high, 2 low)

24500 lbs thrust (26500 lbs with water injection)
5875 lbs weight
19' 8" long
43" diameter

the JT4A (civil version)
15800 lbs thrust (no a/B)


Iroquois information from Avro Arrow
10 stage compressor (3 low, 7 high)
2 spool
annular burner
3 stage turbine
26600 lbs thrust a/b
19350 lbs dry
4500 lbs weight

no dimensions on the Iroquois, but they should be similar to the J-75

Other thought : the Iroquois was aparently a derivatives of the RB-106 thames (one of the first engine selceted for the CF-105).
The Fairey Delta III would have powered by RB-122 which were also... RB-106 derivatives.
