Only problem with that is that it would have to be a captured one as they were used by the armed forces of the "King of Kings" Shapur XXXIII   And my Lords champion will be riding into Telford on his "parade mount" this coming November to take part in the grand tourne against Sir Radish of Bolsover. :)

Rad should be able to give you idea as to what it would look like

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Besides, wouldn't Teutons be using something more along the lines of a Leopard 2?

I'm starting to like the sound of this. I have this Trumpeter S-Tank that needs an idea.

A Teutonic Knights tank has a black hull, white turret and a bright coloured gun barrel.
My Teutonic Knights Leopard 2A6 has a red barrel with white stripe.
My Leopard 1A4 will have an orange barrel with 4 white stripes.

I use identification panels on my Teutonic Knights tanks....download some banners from a heraldic flag site...Narses suggested one in an earlier thread...Contemporary Crusades or perhaps More Crusades.

you could always paint a black cross on the top of the turret or add a German WW1 Maltese Cross?

Modify the look of the T-72 by adding a turret basket full of stowage (like an Israeli tank or one from the Gulf war) around most of the turret. The stowage boxes from the kit could go on something else. I put mine on an AWB South African captured T-62.

I  must admit I'm thinking of getting a couple of 1/35th T-72s or T-80s for developing into an Israeli version (Tiran 8) and a captured Crusader one.

The Knights Templar had similar markings to the Teutonic Knights, but Red crosses and barrels in a variety of colours and stripes. I fancy a striped "barber's pole" effect!

I've a Trumpeter "S" tank as well.
I fancy a black hull sides and back, white top with red cross and fancy barrel.
Lots of stowage too.....or Israeli, or both   :tank:  :tank:

Well, you guys've convinced me, Islamic Forces the T-72 shall be. But what exactly would it look like? Also, if you don't mind me borrowing an idea, I've a 1/48 S-tank that would look brilliant Teutonic. I've also got a 1/48 Jagdpanzer-based APC that could also go Teutonic. Just think of that, the armored equivalent of the cavalry charge, hundreds of APC's with light tank and artillery cover blazing across the desert, getting within feet of the enemy position and dropping the hatches. Makes me wanna go crusading meself.

As for the S-tank, go for it! I'm currently thinking in terms of making my 1/35 one into a 120mm- and AT-missile-armed tank destroyer in CF service (we actually had plans for something like that in the mid-80's).

Well my Sassanid" one is going to be very colourfull as it's a parade rather then combat vehicle - have a look at how Sassanid Noble Cataphract's decorated their horse armour etc. All will be evealed at Telford

Just a crazy idea I have had many times: to convert the hull of S tank into a turret for another tank in bigger scale. So a 1/48 T-72 with an 1/72 S Tank.  ;)
Will die without understanding this world.

It might work better with a 35th Hull and 72nd turret/hull.

Actually, thats not a bad idea, would work well for SPGs too :)
