Other stuff I worked on today was my Crusader Spitfire, not much to show on it yet and I made progress on my Double Barrel Paner.

The barrels are the nozzel from a can of compressed air used for dusting computers. The base of the barrel is Sprue that I cut and drilled out (that was fun..NOT!) the the barrel was then inserted into part of a small drop tank that had been cut down (worked out pretty well)  :)

That's one good looking tank! I dig the double barrels and the use of everyday objects to make them. Kick donkey! B)

Wow that double-barrel panzer rocks! I echo Mr Miller's comments. I love it when everyday objects are used in modelling!

Great stuff!

Yep, I like the doubled barrel panzer as well. Looks very cool. What role is it gonna have?

I used my twin-barrelled T-72 in the buildings demolition role...twin 100mm guns from redundant ESCI T-55 kits.

Have you painted it yet? I remember having trouble getting enamel paint to stick to duster tubes

I had a similar problem using cue-tip shafts, even super glue had a job sticking them to anything.  I ended up just having to hold the damn things together for about half an hour but it bonded my fingers to them very successfully!  Lost a chunk of skin removing them, but I least managed to keep the new part together! :dum:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I got a coat of tan on it last night after I posted the pic. I use acrylics so no problem with paint sticking. I knew I would have a problem with the super glue but I drilled out the sprue pieces and the plastic duster tubes fit snug so glue wasn't an issue..yep I know dumb luck but I'll take it :)

As for what roll this will play? Hmmm not really good with back stories, I just thought it looked cool...I'm open to suggestions.

I can tell you it looks much better without the glaring red barrels

How about leaving the barrels red and make them experimental laser cannons -

Ohhh, dear, that just inspired another hobby-table-clearing idea for one of my models...  :D Thanks!

Nice work, and quite clever!

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
