A tale of 3 hornets...

I have 3 hornets, 1 has been converted into an F-17 cobra, one is a F-18B, and last one is a F-18A that has yet to be built. Any ideas of what users they can be in? I like the idea of a french F-18B, but i have no french decals

I have Super Etendard decals and I could probably have Rafale M decals in less than 2 weeks!!!

If you're interrested, I can exchange you one of those decals (or both, if you want)

And for the two other F-18A and F-17, I have some ideas:

For the F-17:
-Netherland or Belgium Air Force for F-17, instead of F-16
-IIAF instead of the cancelled F-16...
-Taïwan, when they thought about the F-20...
-South Korea: license build

For the F-18A:
-Royal Australian Navy
-Algeria (it was one of my old project, I even drew some profiles, but my model (Heller) was just crap!!)
-Turkey: to counter Greek F-16 and Mirage 2000
-or Greece, as a A-7 replacement
-Madagascar Air Force (also one of my profile I drew)

Thanks for the offer pollux, could you show a photo of the etendart decals? Are the rafale M decals from the italeri kit?

the IIAF had F-18Ls in mind for a F-4 replacement (F-18L is basicly a F-17), while the F-16s were suppost to replace the F-5s IIRC.

Nope, the Rafale M markings are from Heller, and, even if they are not totally crap, they aren't as good as the Super Etendard's...

But well, I will send you picture of the two decal sheets tomorrow (not enough light in my room tonight ) and we could discuss on the decals (and weapons if you need: I have a couple of Super 530 and few Magic 2 and MICA missiles) to exchange by MP...
(I also have some fan art pictures of french Hornet, I'll send them by MP )

The kits are 1/72, but the 1/48 decals are no problem, they will just make it more non-grey!

The 1/48 will have to wait a week, and I don't know their quality...


So, I think you'd better go for the Super Etendard decals!! (and the Rafale M too, if you want two sheets...)
