Disobeying all the rules that say you should start by applying/spraying the lightest colour first, I sprayed the US Dk Earth first simply because it was going to form just 20% of the topside camouflage and 20% is a lot easier to mask than 40% !!

Masking is all with Tamiya tape (yellow) and Low-tack Duck tape. More pics later in the week.... Baby permitting !

"more peeshe" as Isaac would say  :)
Between almost-true and completely-crazy, there is a rainbow of nice shades - Tophe

No photos this time. Just to let y'all know that I finally got around to spraying the next coat of camouflage on my Rafale yesterday morning and tonight - between nappie/diaper/windeln changes - I can get the masking done for the final coat.

Following it across the workbench will be the Canadian Eurofighter Typhoon then a couple of 'real world' types, a 1:48 109E and a 1:72 H-34  :o

Any mistakes yet - like masking the nipper and spraying a nice shade of dark earth ?  Then putting vaseline on the Rafale  :P

What on earth is "windeln ? I thought it was a window cleaner ?

Glad to see your'e a new man Ian and can happily deal with all these multi tasks.

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

what rule ?
I really have tons of things to learn from you, guys!
Nice model! We need more Rafale!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

It's easier to spray the lighter colors first. Light color paints often don't cover very well, so you can paint your aircraft white and still see the color differences [1] underneath.

1: color differences made e.g. by painting part of the aircraft in a dark color.
